Saturday, October 27, 2007. When Priyak first saw what is now his home, it was just four barely-there walls sheltering some weeds. Now, in addition to a house, there is a back garden that is an orchard in the making. Three-feet-high plants that promise breadfruit, cheeku, papayas and mangoes in the future, looked over by a gigantic jackfruit tree, laden with ripe fruit, a remnant of the past. That was inland Goa. Thursday, June 25, 2009. I haven't done one of these in a while. Andthen, suddenly, this thought automatically totalled up to 55. Last night, when we came home at midnight, the dogs downstairs started barking madly; each one competing with the other in piercing the quiet of the late hour.
