What is the Summer Camp? Nritya Kids host a summer camp for its students and other interested children, teens, and even adults. This summer camp is a two-week long classical and folk Indian dance workshop for students of all ages five and up. We provide further training in Bharata Natyam to the current students. What will they learn? Learn about our heritage as they perform stories from Indian epics such as the Ramayan and Mahabharata. Learn to focus while learning challenging dance sequences.

The levels are not limited by the number of years a student studies, but their individual ability. They may take longer than a year to finish a level. The focus is on the basics of Bharata Natyam adavus, and mudras (hand gestures) while creating excitement for what they are learning. They will learn the basics of footwork and rhythm sense. The students will progress to simple ballets to a few shlokas. The students work on mastery of the natyam and nritya as they prepare for arangetram.
