Follow the progress of construction (and sometimes destruction) of my N-scale model train layout. December 30, 2005. The one part of the track that isn't 100% finished is the turnout for the one industrial siding I installed. I used a Caboose ground throw. With the Atlas custom-line turnout. I lliked the look of the ground throw much better then the attached switch control on the standard Altas switches. I think I will stop by Radio Shack tommorow and see about picking up some magnets for uncouplers.

Follow the progress of construction (and sometimes destruction) of my N-scale model train layout. February 27, 2007. Still working on the layout plan. Transferring the layout with paper went ok. I pinned the paper down to foam through the centerline of the track at key points. I then tore up the paper around the pins leaving the pins in the foam. This was the coupler had previously been converted to a knuckle coupler but it was still mounted on the truck. I also painted the blocks with Polly Scale Engine Black. I just recently installed the last ground throw. All that is left to do is wire up some of the blocks and I will be ready to run trains on the layout.
