The Ottesens: June 2012

Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Things Taken for Granted. While in Italy I discovered that I take many things for granted. 1 Showers large enough to shave your legs in. (No wonder Europeans are such hair balls! 2 Free tap water at restaurants. 3 Free sitting at restaurants. 5 Full iPhone functionality at my disposal. 6 Queen size (soft) beds. Two twin beds smashed together does not equal a king. 7 Not being on an airplane. 14 Washing machines and dryers. 17 Really good desserts. 20 Flat irons and blow dryers.

The Lee Family: May 2012
http://leefamilia.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
May 9, 2012. Scott has been painting a friend's house all week, so I've seen him about 5 minutes total each day since he gets up so early for seminary, goes to work, then paints till midnight! I don't know how he does it seriously! It has made me realize how much I like (need) having him around. Lately I have been feeling like everything has been going so smoothly! My kids get along so well, Cami is an amazing baby and sleeping so good, and I haven't had a mommy flip out moment in a long time! Jed, Megan...

Holden On!: February 2009
http://hannahandallen.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 20, 2009. We have arrived in the blogging world. So here's a quick recap of what we've been up to since the wedding:. First was, of course, the Honeymoon. We went to Disneyland and had a blast! We drove there, but it wasn't too bad because we spaced it over two days. It was really nice to have that time just to ourselves after all the chaos of the wedding. We spent about three and a half days in the parks so we had time to see and do pretty much everything. Our Little Love Nest. We were ...

Monday, September 19, 2011. I have come to the realization that I majorly stink at blogging! I have decided to make an effort to be a little bit better at it if only for my family members who aren't part of our day to day lives. I'm fairly certain there will be major catching up and new posts to come! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Elisha aka The Mom. Matthew aka The Dad. Naomi aka The Cute One. I Can Do This: August 2009
http://mymanders.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
I Can Do This. Life as a chronic optimist. Saturday, August 8, 2009. I'm An Excellent Driver. The commute from Provo to Taylorsville can be brutal. In reality, it's not the 40.2 mile distance, or even the 6:40 (ish) am departure time- it's the raging river of automobiles and the idiots who "drive" them that fuels my frustration. Of course, I am by no means innocent of tailgating, speeding, or even the occasional knee-steer (remember my nose blowing dilemma? I also have noticed that people are very confid...

I Can Do This. Life as a chronic optimist. Wednesday, July 22, 2009. That's not my name! That's not my name! The first day of my internship, my supervisor introduced me to the first 20 people I met as Amber. My stack of notes and papers even had a bright green post-it with Amber scrawled across it. To my dementia patient, I'm Lady. I'm You. I'm Whooeru? I'm a nameless face. To my favorite white haired ladies, I'm Dear. To my 90 year old peach of a woman, I'm Nice To Hug. She needed to be repositioned...

Thursday, September 13, 2012. Things I've Learned About/From Being Pregnant. 1 Stretch pants do indeed have a limit. They are NOT one size fits all. 2 Carpal tunnel makes you feel like a clumsy weirdo. Even more so if "clumsy weirdo" is your normal state. 3 Charlie Horses have no business creeping up on someone while they're asleep. 4 The flood gates really do open and all hell breaks loose on your emotions. Here come the waterworks. 7 The phrase, "anyday now" should be taken out of the English language.
