Today we spent some time following a track that ended up acting as the river bank which ran between 2 dykes leading to some interesting bike handling but no one got their feet wet, those with their cosseted racing bikes were a little nervous but the mighty Dawes Galaxy took it all in its stride! A nice little 87 miles tomorrow, all looking forward to that one.

Five intrepid riders met at Barnwood to do a trial run - 60 miles with hills to challenge them and the promise of lunch to keep them going for the first half. Stacey was the first to arrive. We started off as planned bringing the boss along in tow ably assisted by dad. Abigail had a great time as did the rest of us as I meant we could go at a very leisurely pace. Russell being returned to the hotel! We all hope he gets better soon and maybe one day we will finish a ride together :). Day 8 Hendaye here we come.
