Another concept in learning that is adopted in the Foundation Maths program at NumberLinks is that the curriculum is arranged sequentially through many linked levels. The curriculum schema is logically arranged and Maths rules and concepts are learnt in building-block fashion. This approach provides strong grounding in the fundamentals before more complex concepts are dealt with.

A pre-school child asked his classmate why he has such an easy time dealing with numbers in his worksheet and was told that he learnt it at NumberLinks. He went home and got his mother to enrol him. Taking the individual student's abilities as the starting point, we first equip him or her with a good foundation in Maths before they are taught thinking skills to process complex problem sums. The Maths curriculum adopted is complementary to that of the school syllabus - students progress smoothly from one topic to the next. 85 percent of our students scored A* or A for their PSLE Maths in 2015! For 2014, 91 percent of our students scored Double A's for their 'O' Level Maths!

A good understanding of fractions is essential for students in this level as it is a pre-requisite for them to understand concepts of percentage, ratio and decimals. A Good understanding of pure mathematics is an important pre-requisite for any student to excel in maths.
