Kangiqsujuaq: Mussel picking under the ice

Mussel picking under the ice. During the full moon, when the tide is its lowest, is the best time to pick mussels in the winter. In Kangiqsujuaq, harvesters cut a while through the sea ice close to shore and climb down to pick uviluk off the rocks along the ocean floor.
