Nurture's Way Blog Page: One More on Breastfeeding
http://nurturesway.blogspot.com/2012/06/one-more-on-breastfeeding.html
Thursday, 7 June 2012. One More on Breastfeeding. The TIME article really did cause a storm. Zoe Williams in The Guardian. Takes on the 'fact' that breastfeeding benefits are not what health professionals would you like to believe. However, it appears that the journalist may have misinterpreted the research. Zoe is definitely a supporter of breastfeeding, she breastfed her children, the article seems to want to find fault even though she is a supporter. I am confused! Posted by Claire Spencer.

Nurture's Way Blog Page: To be There or Not to be There?
http://nurturesway.blogspot.com/2012/06/to-be-there-or-not-to-be-there.html
Thursday, 7 June 2012. To be There or Not to be There? I do not often read the Daily Mail but whilst in a coffee shop today this article splashed over the front cover caught my attention. Http:/ www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2155655/Husband-birth-No-mums-far-use- dont-risk-wrecking-marriage.html? To be there or not to be there? Michele Odent's views can be controversial but for the women who are impacted by supporters who are finding the birth experience difficult his views make complete sense.

Sunday, 13 May 2012. Breastfeeding Older Children - Conference 3. Ann Sinnott - dispelling the myths! Ann was the final presentation of the day. She is the author of Breastfeeding Older Children http:/ homepage.ntlworld.com/ann.sinnott/index.htm. It was a thought provoking debate - Ann presented women's experiences of when they breastfed their children. It seems to me a sad reflection on our society, as some of the health professionals comments the women have retold were less than kind. It is refreshing ...

I would say that sleep is up there with feeding issues as a hot topic that occupies parents' thoughts for the weeks and months after birth. Even grandparents remember sleep, or lack of, with great clarity! Understanding how and why babies sleep as they do can go a long way in understanding your baby's behaviours. Nurture's Way Blog Page: TIME magazine and the consequences...!
http://nurturesway.blogspot.com/2012/06/time-magazine-and-consequences.html
Thursday, 7 June 2012. TIME magazine and the consequences! I have been pondering about how to respond to the TIME magazine article. If you have not seen it, it has an older child, aged 3 I believe, breastfeeding. Mum looks very glamorous and some might say not your typical breast feeder (What does one of them look though? I think I maybe stereotyping too! My initial thought was outrage, why splash it over the cover of a magazine just to cause controversy? Then I found this wonderful link and rather than ...
