After going extended periods of time without a full night’s sleep, I finally decided enough is enough. Trying to figure out how to sleep with lower back pain. Well I’ve only been using my table for a couple days but it really feels like it’s helping a bit. I’m not quite to the point of being completely inverte...

The Downsides of Freelancing as a Graphic Designer. I will have to stay current with what designs are popular, and which were no longer being used. Of, course I know that working in an ad agency, would allow my access to more jobs, but given that I liked working alone and not part of a design team, I thought freelancing would work out better for my temperament. Books will often languish on the shelves because of a boring book jacket. Designing an exciting one would make the sales of the book soar....

Not Back At It. I have to apologize for not updating my blog in such a long time. For those of you who know me on a more personal level, you understand my struggle with chronic lower back pain for the past few years. It finally got to the point where Ibuprofen and heating pads simply weren’t cutting it. It was affecting my job, family, and normal day to day stuff. Comments Off on Not Back At It. Ugh We have a leak! You know how as a homeowner you can sometimes feel like something is about to stop working?

Mission Impossible: Eating Healthy Foods. November 16, 2014. Comments Off on Mission Impossible: Eating Healthy Foods. As a busy mom of young twin girls, I struggle (as we all do) with getting my kids to eat healthier foods. Allie and Kristy are typical four year olds with demanding personalities and picky eating habits. Allie only wants to eat white foods: breads, pastas, and cheeses (not yellow cheese, don’t you dare offer her yellow cheese). Anything that. I confess, I am sometimes too permissive with...

The Road to Failure and My Misguided Intentions. July 6, 2016. Comments Off on The Road to Failure and My Misguided Intentions. It wasn’t until mid September that my husband saved me from my own self-propelled madness. As I sat in my pajamas at the edge of the bed, crying because I thought I was going to have to give up homeschooling, he said, “Tammy, how is what you are doing any different than what the girls would have in real school? August 12, 2015. Comments Off on Stupid Water Heater. I had Shelly b...

Going on an Adventure. Camping in Sauble Beach. There’s no Place Like Victoria. Fear and Loving in Vancouver. Montreal: North America’s Version of Europe. Our visit to Toronto. Fear and Loving in Vancouver. Stanley Park and the West End. My wife loved walking the trails and seeing nature and the totem poles peppered around the park. I preferred the little train that rode around the park. It was a relaxing ride. I wanted to have a beer on it, but my wife heavily discouraged me. However, th...This is the d...
