Thursday, January 15, 2015. New foods,LEAP day 11 menu. I finally get to add some new foods! Have to start with one new item a day and closely monitor my symptoms. I have been keeping track of all that I have eaten. (Who knew how much work that would be? My symptoms have improved and I will need to continue to watch them so I can keep a list of new foods that cause me problems. So, what will it be? Breakfast: pistachios and pineapple. Friday, January 16, 2015. More new foods, LEAP day 12. One of my favorite foods is hummus. Its a simple but delish, dish that has protein and healthy fats. it is a great dip for fresh veggies. The traditional recipes calls for lemon juice, which I am sensitive to, dang it! So I leave the lemon juice out. Note that I am not trying more than one item today. This recipe has foods that I have been eating except one - tahini. What is tahini? It's ground sesame seeds which lend hummus its unique flavor.
