Sunday, June 3, 2012. Good evening all. So this week started of with a bang in the pool. I swam TWO miles on Monday morning, that is 64 times down and back in a 25 meter pool! It is the first time I have ever done that and I was even able to finish it in the outdoor lap pool. It's a blast to be swimming with the sun just rising. You should all try it sometime. Saturday, June 2, 2012. Emmy's Helmet Signed by Chrissie Wellington (4 time Ironman World Champion). May has come to an end. One more month of training in the books is done with the results being:. Swim: 14.2 miles, 10 hours 3 minutes. Bike: 159.4 miles, 8 hours 45 minutes 40 seconds. Run: 31.66 miles, 4 hour 44 minutes 13 seconds. I have updated the yearly total in the right pane of the blog. Sunday, May 27, 2012. Awesome Week and Equipment Review. Neighborhood Pool is now OPEN! This week was a great one! The plan was to follow the swim with a bike but I was too drained at that point to give it a shot. On Tuesday I hit another swim, this time a 2400 meter Muscular Endurance. This was followed up by a treadmill session of:. 800 meters easy at 6.5 mph. 800 hard at 8.0. 400 easy at 6.5. 800 hard at 8.5. 400 easy at 6.5. 800 hard b/t 9.0-10.0. Total of 3 miles. Friday, March 23, 2012. A Couple of Swims and a Sweet Tooth. Up again early Monday morning I decided to try out my new toys, swim fins and hand paddles. I will put up pictures of them in a later post. My shoulder felt great and I loved my swim. 8 x 25 meter technique drills. 8 x 25 meter kick with fins. 3 x 100 meter base pace swim. 12 x 25 meter sprint. 8 x 25 meter pull with paddles. 400 meter cool down. Sunday, April 8, 2012. Well this week there isn't a whole lot to write about. I kinda skipped all of my running workouts for one reason or another but none of them are very good. The alarm seemed to always get turned off this week limiting the amount of workout time I had. Not a good excuse like I said. Anyway here are the workouts for this last week. 8 x 25 technique drills (rest 10 sec). 8 x 25 kick with fins (15). 4 x 100 base (10). 10 x 50 sprint (20). 8 x 25 pull with paddles (10). 8 x 25 sprint (15).

Sunday, May 13, 2012. This was a great week for swimming. I swam over 4.3 miles in 3 workouts! It was a crazy week at work and getting inside my head while in the pool was an amazing stress reliever. In addition I did a kettlebell workout, which was awesome to hit so many muscles without having to walk all over the gym. Still trying to figure out how to rotate. She is sure getting good at this.
