I still have the contact problem with Chevron. Again, I tried to use Mercury from Bencher. As I wrote in the previous post, I had had unpleasant rebound feeling with this paddle. This paddle has no contact problem. So far, I would go on using this until I would like to get another, maybe, some model of Begali. Links to this post.

The brutally hot summer seems to have gone for a few days. The heat spell has left some damages in the garden. Cosmos won't come out so flourishingly. I still love those flowers. Heavy but still full life in summer is reaching the end. Links to this post. Another financial crunch going on. Excessive deregulation and quantitative easing s...
A Nuttycellist's Monologue: St. John's Passion by J.S.Bach

A semiretired pediatrician living in a countryside in Japan will describe what he thinks of his hobbies, life and the events around himself. St John's Passion by J.S.Bach. Through these two aspects of life, this music urges us to reflect ourselves and eventually to reach our helplessness. July 29, 2015 at 3:29 PM. Suzuki is a great and under-estimated harpsichordist as well as being a fine conductor. I have his recording of the Goldberg Variations. July 30, 2015 at 2:23 PM. July 30, 2015 at 11:44 PM.

A semiretired pediatrician living in a countryside in Japan will describe what he thinks of his hobbies, life and the events around himself. Indian lilac coming out. In several weeks, cool breeze may come on here, telling us it is the early fall starting. I am sure my parents have felt the season in the same way. A chain of lives goes on. April 3, 2015. An Early Morning Spin On 49M With The Sproutie. Filed under: Amateur Radio. 8212; AA7EE @ 5:04 pm. And thinking that I might as well make use of the fact that I was up at 5:30am, while night-time and grey-line propagation on 49M would be in full swing. Coffee at the ready, I decided to perform a band scan on 49M with The Sproutie. The idea was to log every station I could hear on the band. The excellent site short-wave.info. Needless to say, I heard a lot of Chinese. Regen doesn’t cu...

N2ICZ/QRP...: April 2016
http://n2icz.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html
The incredible world of 5 watts or less. Saturday, April 23, 2016. I have the full weekend off this weekend. That might sound strange to some of you who always have the weekend off. However, I work in an industry that only allows me one weekend off per month. I hate using cliche's but here it comes -"one has to do what one has to do". At around 1700Z here's what things looked like on Paul Herman, NB0NH's site. Overall it's a "meh" for the daytime hours. Pack up the tent and go home". I plug in my numbers...
N2ICZ/QRP...: C’est la vie....
http://n2icz.blogspot.com/2016/05/cest-la-vie.html
The incredible world of 5 watts or less. Monday, May 30, 2016. C’est la vie. Roughly translated, it means, "that's life" And so it is. I called CQ for about an hour. I know my signal was getting out there:. Ah The life of the QRPer. Maybe it was the 3 million people leaving the Jersey Shore all at once because it rained all day. Who knows? Time for some tail ending assertiveness. I have to get at least one one QSO for the day! 72/73 de N2ICZ. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other blogs I visit.

N2ICZ/QRP...: Sure, N0HYD...rub it in!

The incredible world of 5 watts or less. Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Sure, N0HYD.rub it in! The propagation princess was fickle today. While other hams, like N0HYD, Burke in Missouri, were having a blast on 20 meters,. My propagation on 20 meters was equivalent to this:. All kidding aside, I'm happy for Burke. Really, I am (bang zoom.to the moon, Alice! A wacky day for propagation, indeed. Burke Jones - N0HYD. May 11, 2016 at 9:03 AM. Some of us get to have all the fun! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://n2icz.blogspot.com/2016/05/fun-with-1-watt.html
The incredible world of 5 watts or less. Friday, May 6, 2016. Fun with 1 watt. Some of my ham friends think I'm crazy. As band conditions continue to wax and wane, I've been lowering my power more and more. No, I haven't been channeling the Marquis de Sade and wishing for pain. Although pain, at times, when it relates to QRP operation, can be exquisite. For now though, 1 watt is my new 5 watts. Fun with 1 watt! Pretty cool, huh? May 6, 2016 at 10:34 PM. Nice blog entry. Keep the QRP faith. It isn...Thank...
N2ICZ/QRP...: Ham radio encounters...and farewells.
http://n2icz.blogspot.com/2016/05/ham-radio-encountersand-farewells.html
The incredible world of 5 watts or less. Sunday, May 1, 2016. Ham radio encounters.and farewells. I was going through some old file boxes recently (in my never ending effort to de-clutter my life) and ran across some of my first paper logs I kept as a novice. They're about 35 years old and although the paper has turned a nice antique yellow and the ink has faded a bit, the memories have not. I got to thinking about these hams I had contacted, What happened to them? Are they still active in ham radio?

The incredible world of 5 watts or less. Friday, May 13, 2016. It never gets old. The thrill, that is QRP! Had a quick but nice QSO with Romeo, IK2DJV in Italy. Both of us QRP. on 20 meters (which has been horrible for me lately.but not today :) ) Thanks for the good ear, Romeo. Almost 1,000 per watt. Almost. There's always next time. I highly doubt we were like that when we were their age. At our age, we sound like near angels compared to them. Doesn't it still exist? After a...

Opposite Corners of the World
Tuesday, May 13, 2008. Encounter of a Kind. I was getting ready to leave the house. With everything in hand, and before I opened the door, I paused for a few seconds, as I always do, to make sure that I had my essentials: purse, key, phone. Okay, set, ready. open door. I opened the door and was greeted by the sight of an Asian girl waiting in front of my unit. We stared at each other for what seemed like an extremely long second. To listen to me? It is really quite a bizarre thing that happened. What...
