Why use Angular (or any front-end Javascript framework)? Before I used front-end Javascript frameworks, I'd hear about them all the time but could never understand why or when anyone would need to use them. I couldn't find any good articles explaining it either. You probably don't need a framework until you think you need a framework, but that's not very helpful. Essentially, you want a front-end framework when you have a complex single-page app (eg. Gmail). This is what it means to " bind data to the DOM.
