Bikes, Boards, and Boats. Not your typical DC tour. Monday, July 1, 2013. This morning we drove into Washington, D.C. for the first time. Before going to our hotel we took a quick drive around the Mall to get our first glimpse of the capitol buildings and the Smithsonian. It dumped rain on the way in, which made it look kind of cool. and the kids loved the huge rain drops. And the very short. Ride we took a bit further. It's a pretty impressive building.
