Tuesday, March 24, 2009. I'm re-printing an article from today's NY Times on getting into the local elementary school. I think it's worth re-considering if you're giving something up to stay in a certain school district, because it might not guarantee you a spot. If that's the case, why not move to a home you love and fight for whatever school you want your kid to get into? In other words, why pay for PS 6 or 87, when you can have a bigger apt for less money but not in the school district? March 24, 2009.
