Painting Air: May 2010

Thoughts on musical theatre, creating art, and occasionally comic books. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Music Directors Need Tonys, Too. I totally agree that there should be a Tony for Best Ensemble. But the Tony Award that needs to exist above all other Tony Awards is one for Music Director (as the crazily talented Georgia Stitt. Pointed out on Twitter). How does this not exist? I mean, seriously. Seriously? Links to this post. Friday, May 21, 2010. Tearing Up The Slips of Paper: EVERYDAY RAPTURE. I wanted so...

Congratulations, New Yorkers!! |

Bring it On, ‘Bring it On’! Congratulations, New Yorkers! July 24, 2011. Kitty Lambert and Cheryle Rudd (via: The New York Times). And, our gift to you, one of our favorite poems about marriage, by Kahlil Gibran:. You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness,. And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Rest In Peace, Whitney Houston. 8216;Once’ Again. March 1, 2012. 8211; but the show convinced us. Yes, the stage could capture all the heart of the movie, and even more. Or check out this video of one of the songs in the show, performed by the talented (and hunkalicious) Steve Kazee:. Http:/ c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated f9? Brave Girl | Something Kinda Wonderful
https://somethingkindawonderful.wordpress.com/2010/04/28/brave-girl
As an artist, I like being supportive of those that are still growing in their craft. I always applaud my younger friends who are still in high school or college who take risks and chances. It takes a lot of courage to get up and sing in front of a large group of people. It takes a lot of rehearsal and preparation to make your song good enough for public consumption. Just watch the video. Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart. Trackback ( 0 ). Comments ( 3 ). May 1st, 2010. May 1st, 2010. May 13th, 2010.

Project Hotel Key – Fredonia, New York | Something Kinda Wonderful
https://somethingkindawonderful.wordpress.com/2010/04/11/project-hotel-key-fredonia-new-york
Project Hotel Key – Fredonia, New York. The falls were gorgeous. I took a lot of video footage, which I am currently editing together, that I cannot wait to show you. For now, enjoy a few still pictures I took. Mist everywhere. Casinos in the distance. Sun starting to set. After watching the sun set on the falls, we hit up the Niagara-Seneca Casino for dinner and some gambling. We decided on. That is to say, they ate it. Ten dollars. Gone. Sound Engineer Nathan Lively. In the Land of Make Believe: January 2009
http://amykrivo.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 14, 2009. On the Road and Glued to My Seat. What a difference a year makes! A year ago this week I was promoted from copywriter to product manager at Oxford University Press; perhaps not uncoincidentally, I also managed to stop blogging from that moment on. And then there was that other big news (see left) . I somehow managed to get there FOUR times within a year; once to Columbus for a friend's wedding, but the other three times (Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cincinnati) for conferences&#...

In the Land of Make Believe: December 2007
http://amykrivo.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Home for the Holidays. After a Turkey birthday and a blur of bronchitis, it's so nice to be back on the aisle this month. I reviewed five shows in early December- and put together a hefty 2008 theater and film preview. So I'll add links to those as soon as they become available. I loved the Irish Repertory Theatre's charming retelling of Dylan Thomas's A Child's Christmas in Wales. Offoffonline review: A Child's Christmas in Wales. Show Business Weekly review: Yellow Face.
