Meadowsweet & Myrrh: Three Humans Walk into a Bar: Language, Labels & Naming Spirit
http://meadowsweet-myrrh.blogspot.com/2009/09/three-humans-walk-into-bar-language.html
Monday, September 14, 2009. Three Humans Walk into a Bar: Language, Labels and Naming Spirit. The three of us perched on barstools at a small tile-topped table near the emergency exit, sipping our beers and talking about Spirit: a polytheist, a panentheist, and an agnostic. Stop me if you've heard this one. I've been thinking a lot recently about polytheism and deity, prompted in part by Kullervo's post. How do I understand them? I'm still waiting for that part to fall into place. And near suicidal moods.

Seraphimia: Lammas: August Eve
http://seraphimiaknight.blogspot.com/p/lammas-august-eve.html
Follow me on my pagan path. Taken from the Llewellyn 2000 calendar. For the month of August. The last day of July is Lammas eve with tomorrow, August 1 being Lammas Day. The word 'Lammas' is derived from 'loaf mass' and is indicative of how central and honoured is the first grain and the first loaf of the harvesting cycle. - Goddess and Greenman. We are now at high summer with the union of the sun and earth, of the god and goddess having produced the first harvest. Taken from the Llewellyn 2000 calendar.

Seraphimia: Winter Solstice: Yule
http://seraphimiaknight.blogspot.com/p/winter-solstice-yule.html
Follow me on my pagan path. Winter Magic by Julia Jeffrey. By the time Yule arrives it can be pretty bleak where I live in the south-west of England, so Yule was something I especially wanted to enjoy with all it's foliage, wreaths, feasts and colours during the dark and dismal days of mid-winter. I set about finding out as much as I could to enrich my Yule experience, something which I hope to build on, year-on-year (as well as add to this article). Is a winter festival. Yule coincides closely with the ...

Seraphimia: Litha: Summer Solstice
http://seraphimiaknight.blogspot.com/p/litha-summer-solstice.html
Follow me on my pagan path. 21st June is midsummer (though the exact date does vary, anything from the 21st to the 24th June). The sun is at it's peak and the goddess is heavily pregnant "just as the earth is pregnant with the coming harvest". It is the longest day of the year. And after this day the sun will set a little earlier each day here on out. In Wales it was referred to as Gathering Day. Midsummer is the druid festival of Alban Hefin. As Christianity entered pagan areas, midsummer celebrations c...
