The first order of business was to remove the rear section of the house removed. I for one will not miss it at all. 90% of the problems with this project stemmed from that nonsense. Revealing the truth behind the lies. 4 For those joists that were actually "big enough" (2x8's or larger) the previous owners did something that didn't make a whole bunch of sense. they notched from the bottom of the joists to allow for power and water to go through them. Now normally drilling a hole in the center of a joist is okay - so long as it is not in the edge of the joist. Why?

This is about centipedes. we don't want them. what i have to do is spread bug killer in the early spring, summer, and fall, and keep my drains closed all the time. even when i shower - drain closed; shower started; step in and wash; drain is opened before my last rinse, then shut after toweling off. That was unexpectedly quick. i wrote to steve borgerson, rockland trust vp/rm, just before i left work at midnight, and he replied shortly after he logged in this morning. steve gave some great pointers, one being that the magic credit score for a few financing programs is 720. looks like i may be talking to mr. borgerson in the near future.
