Anatomy of a Family: Numbers
http://anatomyofafamily.blogspot.com/2011/04/numbers.html
April 30, 2011. Do you like numbers? I don't. In fact, I have an irrational fear of them. Nonetheless, I thought it worthwhile to serve up the following random figures. I'll just deal with the digit-induced headaches later. The 2010 U.S. Census numbers. Are in. The statistics on Asian-Americans are particularly fascinating. Over the last 10. Years, the Asian-American race has become the fastest-growing population, increasing by 43%. Of the country. Holla! Of the nation's population. Chock full of numbers...

Birdseed Valentine | finding joy in everyday life
https://leahvflanagan.wordpress.com/2012/01/14/birdseed-valentine
Finding joy in everyday life. Cooking, crafting and decorating our way through childhood. This craft is not a new one, but we were inspired to make it because it was featured in Bridget’s Highlights magazine. I liked the idea that we were making Valentines for the birds, although you could make any shape that you wish, we made hearts. 1 Cut out a cardboard heart, punch a hole in the center and thread it with a ribbon (we used pipe cleaners.). 5 Now hopefully Those Darn Squirrel. Gumdrop Wreath | finding joy in everyday life
https://leahvflanagan.wordpress.com/2011/12/17/gumdrop-wreath
Finding joy in everyday life. Cooking, crafting and decorating our way through childhood. I first made a gumdrop wreath in college. It was an idea from a Martha Stewart. It was actually quite fun to do with my kids. Bridget is 4-1/2 and was able to really help. We used small cutters to cut the toothpicks in half (it would be quite difficult to break in half as suggested by MS.). We are celebrating advent this year by using both the traditional advent wreath. With five candles and a Jesse tree. While we s...

Anatomy of a Family: Rainy Day
http://anatomyofafamily.blogspot.com/2011/08/rainy-day.html
August 2, 2011. Here in the K. household, we're grateful for this week's on-again, off-again rain that has been watering our heatwave-scorched state. The other day, I stepped outside to snap a shot of a raincloud that William thought resembled the shape of the United States (freaky- it really did! In the meantime, can you make out the last picture below? It's a shot of our young Manny Pacquaio, who just turned 4 recently. A birthday post will follow one day. What kind of camera do you use? Im so sorry to...

Anatomy of a Family: Super 8
http://anatomyofafamily.blogspot.com/2011/07/super-8.html
July 27, 2011. When I was 16, I spent a month at film camp learning how to make movies. Over the course of four weeks, I shot yard after yard of footage. My back grew sore from the late nights I spent in cramped editing rooms, hunched over workstations covered in fragments of Super 8 film. Each piece captured a series of images that, when finally spliced together, told a tale of questionable coherence. A lanky, yet densely muscular 7 year old boy runs through his backyard. He hollers across the yard.

Anatomy of a Family: O, Happy Day!
http://anatomyofafamily.blogspot.com/2011/05/o-happy-day.html
May 22, 2011. O, Happy Day! Or the guilt of having snuck too many chocolate eggs out of that basket with the impractically long handle when the kids aren't looking. In the end, we sometimes find ourselves with little time and energy and far less stillness of heart needed to marvel at Christ. Welcome to the family, Dad. Amy from Occupation: Mommy. Great pictures and a wonderful day! May 23, 2011 at 9:18 AM. Easter memories will never be the same for your family, will they? May 23, 2011 at 1:12 PM.

Anatomy of a Family: Love This Boy
http://anatomyofafamily.blogspot.com/2011/12/love-this-boy.html
December 20, 2011. I know, I know, it has been months since I've posted anything on this blog. So, here's my 5 second attempt at repentance: a mere snapshot of William. He has been a handful lately, throwing hard toys at his brother for no apparent reason, exhibiting defiance in ways that only a 4 1/2 year-old can. Still, I love this boy. Tami and Bobby Sisemore Family. I LOVE the picture! Sorry for the hard time lately :( Hugs. December 21, 2011 at 3:39 PM. LOL Maybe it the age? Lunch at Bubby’s.
