When Obed Shelton was seven years old, his father gave him a toy violin for Christmas. Obed showed such in interest, that soon he was learning on a real violin in grade school in Cleveland, Ohio. His teachers noticed that he liked to play more than just the notes that were written. He played through High School, and studied violin at Ohio University. He left the news media in 2008, and began serving in 2009 as Public Information Officer for Cleveland Clerk of Courts Earle B. Turner. For blogs, click here.

I’ve also arranged an updated version of the old hymn It is Well . I hope I can get that recorded and put to video in 2013. Since the summer, I’ve been amazingly busy. I’ve been playing a lot. I got to MC and play at the Case Western Alumni GospelFest at John Hay HighSchool in Cleveland. The newer photos with the red striped bow tie are from that event. Take about 400 brides to be, heavily discounted bridal gowns and a Filene's Basement and what do you get? Look for the two women to face plant around the 1:55 mark. Loads of fun to be had. Although, I saw more tattoos than a tattoo artist, yesterday. Almost getting run over by frothing at the mouth brides was an experience in itself. Can't wait to do it next year. The remnants of hurricane Ike came through my area last night and let me tell you, I feel for those poor people in the Southeastern part of Texas. Because of the winds from Ike, I now have no power, running water (from a well), no sanitation capabilities (no power to run the water to refill the toilet), no refrigeration capabilities (hope the freezer holds for another day) and no way to cook food.

Some people have reporter it working for about 45 minutes then the 3RROD appears again up to fourteen days of usage, and beyond.

I arrived in time enough for me to see them covering up the driver's body. Lucky me. It wasn't pleasant and I could have lived my life without seeing what I saw. I almost cried on the spot.
