Sunday, October 14, 2012. Weeks 5 and 6. He was excited to share about his new skill - being able to do a cartwheel! This kid is super strong and loves doing bar work (flips, balancing, etc) and different gymnastics-related things all the time! He'll be starting in a new gymnastics class in two weeks. It is a boys class designed for 5-12-year-olds, so I'm hoping he isn't too nervous being the smallest one there. I think he'll do GREAT! We made shapes from marshmallows and toothpicks. He is SUCH a monkey!

Friday, February 17, 2012. Just a couple of things that we did this week. Fuzzy Dice Math Game. Each kid got to roll their dice across the living room. Then they ran to quickly count how many hearts they rolled. Then they had to determine who's dice had more hearts, and whoever rolled the higher number "won" that round. We did this over and over. Friday, April 27, 2012. B4FIAR - The Carrot Seed. This week, we read the very short, simple "The Carrot Seed" by Ruth Krauss. We did a few carrot-related activities, but much of the week was filled with PLAY! We had intended to plant some carrot seeds ourselves, but this week there have been some freeze warnings, so we're going to wait another week before we plant them! Friday, May 18, 2012. We had a GREAT time out there today. The kiddos had a BLAST playing in the creek again. I had planned to teach them about trees (the different parts of the tree, different types, etc). We were also going to play a game of tree tag.
