Oblivion is also the first game with so many other functions to have such a large spells list and so many categories of magic such as conjuration (summoning Deadric beings and monsters from other realms), illusion(the ability to control the minds of other beings, and go invisible), alteration(open locks with magic and make the player stronger or enhance other attributes or skills) and destruction(making fire, frost or shock to weaken or defeat other beings).
