Thursday, 7 April 2011. Mm Mm Smoked Goats Cheese. So, most people surely will have tried goats cheese before,agreed? But have they tried the smoked variety? I recently got some from my local monthly farmers market and just got it out of its neatly packed vacuum sealed wrapping this afternoon to try on a couple of krackawheats.Well now it is out of the vacuum seal it needs to be eaten in the next few days(maybe? Sunday, 29 May 2011. Home made Monte Carlo Biscuits-attempt#1. I need a good electric mixer.I think that is the key? Mine is crappy and so I whisked and whisked till I was afraid I was going to get tennis elbow(not really)and my arm was about to drop off.Still no "fluffiness". My Vienna cream DID NOT FLUFF! So,no pictures and nothing really worth posting. They still tasted Ok so I passed them onto my neighbours but next time I want the Vienna cream proper fluffy. That is all.#FAIL! Friday, 13 May 2011.

Saturday, 2 April 2011. Basic Baked Summery Salmon. Long time no see. Thank you for waiting exactly 1 year for the salmon recipe! This is a real basic one but like i said it does accompany the salt n pepper squid lovely. A nice side serving of organic rocket tossed in olive oil,sea salt and cracked pepper is perfect for a light summer dish like this. Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius(fan forced). Brush 1 teaspoon of olive oil onto a square piece of tin foil. Place salmon fillet in middle of foil square.

When on a gorgeous hen's weekend in and around Bordeaux,France I was let in on a secret by the hen herself that you can get a very light, tasty ,crisp sparkling wine called Blanquette from the south of France that strongly rivals some top champagnes. Sparkling wine that is just as good as champagne but cannot be called "champagne" as it is not from the "champagne region" which is in the north of France. If you are in the U.K I have had an exciting find I must share. Time for a Change.

Tuesday, 23 March 2010. Meat Free Monday(sort of! Salt and Pepper Squid(serves 2-4 as a starter). About 10 small Squid Tubes. 11/2 cups Plain Flour. Dried Chilli and garlic spice mix. 2 spring onions chopped (shallots). Optional fresh chopped chilli). Clean squid tubes and cut into small rings.If baby squid is inside squeeze out and cut in half lengthways. Whisk one egg in a small bowl. Dip squid in egg then roll in flour mix.Set aside in batches. Heat oil in a small saucepan,make sure its very hot.
