Occasional Contemplation
Monday, July 22, 2013. The switch from coffee to tea. It reiterates the fact that Change is the only constant. Was it difficult to switch from coffee to tea? Oh yes, absolutely for a fervent coffee lover. How did I transition? As with anything else, step by step. If anybody is interested in making the switch here are some guidelines that worked for me. 1Cold turkey did not work for me. 2I reduce my caffeine intake very gradually. 4Replaced my evening coffee cuppa with tea times. Sunday, May 10, 2015. And 2 Nephi 2:4. God has given us commandments and instructed us sufficient to know good from evil ( 2 Nephi 2:5. Paul anticipated a likely reaction to these ideas. He realized that some people would think that they can sin as much as they want, as long as they eventually repent. Paul says, “Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid ( Romans 6:1-2. Thus, sin does not define us. Rather, our reaction to sin and who we choose to obey is what really matters. And, it ca...

Occasional Cookies
Sunday, May 10, 2015. My daughter turned one and I threw her a rainbow party at our house. Our house is small, and family big. We got lucky with a decent weather day, so we used outdoor and indoor spaces. I enjoyed creating all the colorful touches and the day was very special. I made the cake and bought the digital graphic on Etsy. Printed at Walgreens and glued to foam board. Recycled baby food jars filled with m&ms, gum balls and skittles. Fruit loop bars, rainbow licorice, and some m&ms cookies.

Confessions of an Occasional Crafter
Confessions of an Occasional Crafter. Sunday, 8 January 2012. Keeping up with those good intentions. One small step towards my resolutions, I've taken a photo a day and. Made them in to a collage! I decided to use some 5x7 templates from Kerri Bradford. These were from her Snapshots collections. I love Kerri's products but she has made me want a Silhouette sooooooo badly! Day 1 Those fabulous fireworks to welcome in the new year - so amazing! Eating trip to Bluewater. Too much of a good thing? It's just ...
Occasional Crafter | Crafting, occasionally.
In the end, I did manage to fit in a tiny bit of Christmas knitting! This is a little elf ornament, mercifully knitted flat and then stitched up at the back. He’s relatively quick to make – as always the thing that takes the longest time is the finishing off. I do like the little collar though and the fact you can use the cast on yarn to crochet into a chain to hang him with. The pattern is called Little Pixies and is by Amanda Berry. A bear (left) behind. How on earth is it December? I haven’t had...
