Lesson Plans of an OCD Primary Chorister: June 2014
http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2014. Dancing with ribbon wands is a great way to help children practice a song many times without realizing that they are working. They are best used with slow songs (like Baptism) but can also be fun with patriotic songs. Move the wand quickly back and forth as it goes down. Make a rainbow above your head. Make a figure 8 in front of your body. Move the wand up and down. Move the wand back and forth in front of you. Make short little hops with the wand as you move it across your chest.

http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2015/01/spotlight-nathan-schaumann.html
Saturday, January 3, 2015. Allow me to introduce you to one of the finest musicians I've ever heard- and he's only fourteen years old! I met the Schaumann family last year while we were attending the Wassenaar, Netherlands Branch. All of the children are sweet spirits are excellent musicians. Now Nathan has started a YouTube Channel where he posts covers of his favorite pop songs. Here, he covers Coldplay's "Paradise" with his sister, Emily. And in my favorite, he covers Sia's "Chandelier.". LDS Primary ...

http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 27, 2014. I Wonder When He Comes Again. I wonder, when he comes again. Will herald angels sing? Will earth be white with drifted snow. Or will the world know spring? I wonder if one star will shine. Far brighter than the rest;. Will daylight stay the whole night through? Will songbirds leave their nests? I'm sure he'll call his little ones. Together 'round his knee,. Because he said in days gone by,. Suffer them to come to me.". Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Lesson Plans: December 2014.

Lesson Plans of an OCD Primary Chorister: Sunbeam Eggs
http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/12/sunbeam-eggs.html
Thursday, December 5, 2013. This activity is meant to help encourage new Sunbeams to stay in their seats. You may wish to coordinate with your Primary President or Sunbeams Teacher to extend the activity beyond sharing time. First, print the egg document below. Cut out an egg for each child. I strongly suggest laminating the eggs. Adhere an egg to the seat of each Sunbeam's chair with velcro, tape or stick tack. December 16, 2013 at 2:33 AM. This is so great! December 28, 2013 at 4:55 PM. I need this for...

Hum Your Favorite Hymn: Word of Wisdom!
http://humyourfavoritehymn.blogspot.com/2013/05/word-of-wisdom.html
Monday, May 20, 2013. This upcoming Sunday, the Sharing Time topic is about the Word of Wisdom! I might do what I did last year for that topic! It was pretty fun! And then I showed them that you can make a W O W sign with your hands: One hand with three fingers up for "W" then make an "O" shape with your mouth and then the other hand also with a "W" - they liked that! Cinnamon, garlic powder, vanilla, herbs, etc. Pick your favorites! They actually had some amazing guesses! One kid guessed turmeric! Shoe ...

Oh What do you do for Singing Time?: October 2013
http://ohwhatdoyoudoforsingingtime.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 8, 2013. For this activity, you will need bowling pins (I picked mine up at Target), paper ghosts, and a small ball or pumpkin. Write song titles on the back of the ghosts and tape them to the bowling pins. Set the pins up and have a child roll the ball toward them. You could also just tape the ghosts to the pins without songs written on the back. If the child bowls a strike, he or she gets to pick the song. If not, the chorister picks. This idea was found on. You will need a large pot (...

Hum Your Favorite Hymn: February 2013
http://humyourfavoritehymn.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 27, 2013. I love 4th of July so I was excited to do a themed Singing Time! I came up with a game, "Sing for America" with a silly red white and blue sign with stars etc. Questions were typed out and folded up and put in one of our bowls that's white and blue. I had a bunch of big cut-out stars with ways-to-sing on the back. The Jaredites crossed the ocean and came to. A) The Titanic B) Large canoes C) Barges D) They actually swam. Sing: p.118 Book of Mormon Stories). A) President Obam...

The provided umbrellas were most of the fun. Meeting Mr. Lincoln. Friday brought us to Mount Vernon, the home and resting place of General George Washington. Viewed the Capitol Building from a distance,. And visited the Natio...

Oh What do you do for Singing Time?: April 2014
http://ohwhatdoyoudoforsingingtime.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 12, 2014. The Family is of God. I originally found an awesome lesson plan for "The Family is of God" on the blog, Pergler's Primary Place. It incorporates the proclamation to the family. I thought it could easily be adapted for singing time. Wrap a picture of a family. Present it to the children. 8220;Inside this present is a picture of a gift from Heavenly Father.”. 8220;Raise your hand if you like to give gifts? Was it because you love them? Play the song for children. This means when w...
The Simple Things: Our Grand Adventure
http://rachaeljanae.blogspot.com/2015/06/our-grand-adventure.html
Tuesday, June 2, 2015. On May 4th we took off on a road trip to southern Colorado and Utah. It was an adventure! Silliness in the car. Lots of miles. The Great Sand Dunes in Colorado. A little colder than we expected, but the wet sand made for great sandcastles. Mesa Verde National Park. The Balcony Tour was a highlight. We had to climb up and down wooden ladders and squeeze through gaps in the rocks. Four Corners. Here we got a lot of our souvenirs from Native American artisans. June 2, 2015 at 9:48 AM.
