We started from Ushuaia in Argentina and went to Port Williams in Chile, rounded Cape Horn and crossed the Drake Passage towards the Melchior Islands in Antarctica. I am a plankton scientist based in the historic, marine city of Plymouth, UK and I am interested in how the plankton influence the marine food web from fish to whales, and from penguins to polar bears.
