Wednesday, April 16, 2014. North Island, New Zealand - 2014. NZ sailors have told me, that easiest way to see downtown Auckland is via ferry from Waiheke Island. It worked out quite well and I did not have to worry about taking the boat to Auckland harbor. Downtown waterfront is interesting to explore. Plenty of mega yachts and activities. Thursday, July 14, 2011. Loreto to Santa Rosalia, Mex. - 2011. I had a good sail to Isla San Ildefonso. North end of this Island had a good anchorage to hide from strong Southerlies over night.
