Scott has been a Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) Sailing Instructor since 1982 and has taught 100s of students from the CYA Basic Cruising level to the Offshore Cruising Standard. He has been sailing for almost 30 years and has logged over 40,000 sea miles. In 1981 he started sailing offshore and made his first blue water passage on a 42 ft. sloop from Vancouver to Hawaii.
