NERVE CONDUCTION VELOCITY TESTING. This test is used to determine if vestibular or inner ear disease may be causing dizziness or balance problems. It is more accurate, more consistent and more comfortable to the patient than the previous ENG version of testing. It is one of the only tests available that can determine if there is unilateral (one ear) or bilateral (both ears) vestibular loss.
