Heel pain is often associated with the Plantar Fascia which commonly becomes painful at it’s insertion into the heel bone (the Calcaneus). This condition is called Plantar Fasciosis. The cause of this pain can be due to a number of factors which include tight calf muscles, stiffness of the sub-talar joint of the ankle and prolonged pronation (rolling in) at the foot.
