GARGANTUAN steps: immersed in a Malayan sunset
http://gargantuansteps.blogspot.com/2014/06/immersed-in-malayan-sunset.html
Saturday, June 21, 2014. Immersed in a Malayan sunset. I never expected Malaysia to be one of my travel destinations (beyond visiting my relatives) but here I was finding myself planning a trip there. Funnily enough, a beach holiday as well (when my usual idea of a holiday is roaming the hallowed hallways of museums and traversing the sacred aisles of churches). And frankly, it was one of my best ever holiday! Days 1 to 3 - Kuala Lumpur: Family, Friends, Food and the Petronas Towers. Our ride to KL.

GARGANTUAN steps: March 2007
http://gargantuansteps.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 31, 2007. So for all you back at home, here's a little bit of London squashed into my blog! Some photos used were from previous visits, but they are a much better representative than some of them which I took on Tuesday. London's equivalent of Orchard Road, which means terrible human traffic too. It used to be my favourite church till I went to Rome, but still a captivating beauty. Fon stays very near here and we walk to her place via this bridge, the winds here can really blow you away.

Staying over was quite fun, and a bunch of us medics (doctors-to-be) had a few rounds of Tai Tee, or Big Two, to translate. Then I went to help make my lunch for the next day (which essentially consisted of providing conversation), which I will be eternally grateful to Trysha, and also for providing a bed for the night to sleep on! Me and Han Yan - my fellow defensive buddy...

GARGANTUAN steps: the meaning of marriage
http://gargantuansteps.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-meaning-of-marriage.html
Friday, April 18, 2014. The meaning of marriage. The take home message is this - only by having a fulfilling relationship with God, then can you truly be whole, and then can your relationship be beautiful and perfect because you can give yourself endlessly. We have to love our other halves just as how Christ loved the us and his church, unrelenting, passionately, sacrificially, infinitely -. My favourite quote in the book -. That is how we should love. Posted by Gabriel Yan at 11:56 PM. The reason for God.

Saturday, September 23, 2006. And I did it my way. There are two forms of academic diseases: intellectual infantilism, caused largely by minds never cutting loose and growing up;. And progeria, or premature sterility, which seemed specially to infect inbred and narrow faculties.' - William Osler. I've decided to delve into myself and give a better understanding about what constitutes me. Think this is enough of me for now! Posted by Gabriel Yan at 4:34 PM. Friday, September 15, 2006. http://gargantuansteps.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 22, 2007. You'll never walk alone. Through a storm,. Hold your head up high. And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end, of the storm. Is a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on, through the wind. Walk on, through the rain. Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart. And you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk alone. Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart. And you'll never walk alone. You'll Never Walk Alone. We will prevail YNWA.

GARGANTUAN steps: island of the gods
http://gargantuansteps.blogspot.com/2015/07/island-of-gods.html
Saturday, July 04, 2015. Island of the gods. They call Bali the Island of the Gods. Though I am not able to find out a reason behind this famed moniker, beyond the fact that it contains a whole lot of Hindu temples. In fact, Bali is also known as the Island of Thousand Temples. Though this is supposedly a gross underestimation. There are apparently 6002 of them. Within a temple complex stand many puras. Days 1 and 2: White Water Rafting and Tanah Lot. Breakfast by the pool. Rafting down the River Ayung.
