I was greatly saddened by the fact that the Times censored my free speech by ignoring my "letters to the editor" emailed on the 12th and 16th October, and incredibly proud and grateful when the Observer published both, back to back, on the 16th and 17th October. Such talk disgusts me - as if Swazi's are a herd of cattle to cull, breed and control.

I eventually gave in to pressure and we drove to a Marie Stopes International Clinic in South Africa to have the abortion done. I remember talking with the father of the baby; he asked me why I wanted to keep the baby. I told him that “it” was a part of me and him put together to make a beautiful gift. Korea, sett fra en expatkones perspektiv. Torsdag 8. mai 2014. I dag har vi vært her i to uker(! Og det har vi helt glemt å feire. Mye som har skjedd siden sist. Jeg har funnte ut hvor nærmeste matbutikk er, Amanda har fått en kompis; Finn fra England, vi har funnet ENDA EN lekeplass med DISSER og mye kulere rutsjebaner en den andre - og max 3 minutters gange hjemmefra. Jeg har hatt min første syforening på Senteret og ble kjent med ei kjempekoselig koreansk dame med masse vennskapspotensiale.

Korea, sett fra en expatkones perspektiv. Torsdag 3. juli 2014. Det er blitt sommer i Korea. Og jeg tuller ikke. Det ER virkelig sommer! Mellom klokken 12 og 3 er det nesten for varmt å bevege seg ute, spør du meg! Hver onsdag er Amanda i barnehage og det hender jeg er vågal og finner ut jeg skal hente henne til fots, for trimmens skyld. Det er en svett affære. I tillegg til varmen er det nokså høy luftfuktighet. Så klærne er bare å vri opp å slenge på vask når en kommer hjem. De små har det godt!

Korea, sett fra en expatkones perspektiv. Onsdag 14. mai 2014. Et fint glimt fra en tur til parken. Amanda leker her med en koreansk jente og en fransk gutt. De sitter sammen og putter sand i en bøtte, lager kake og ødelegger den, så ler de. Putter sand i bøtta, lager kake og ødelegger den. En gang til! Og slik holder de på, sikkert en halvtime, helt til vi må hjem. Tross forskjellig bakgrunn og forskjellig morsmål - leken er universell og barna forstår hverandre. Og de klarer å samarbeide. For 3 år siden.

Korea, sett fra en expatkones perspektiv. Søndag 27. februar 2011. Da jeg var i Kristiansand sist helg trasket jeg og Sara tilfeldigvis innom en lampebutikk. Og der fant jeg det jeg alltid har letet etter (på lampebutikker). En lampeskjerm som passer min søte gull-lampefot! Lampefoten kjøpte jeg for 5 kroner på loppemarked i Bergen i høst. Endelig kommer den til sin rett. Foreløpig i stuevinduet vårt. Send dette via e-post. Søndag 20. februar 2011. Bella ligger i kurva med tepper laget av Isak sin farmor.
