Ode to the Wee Red Book: "Support your local team!" - it's just not that simple!
http://odetotheweeredbook.blogspot.com/2013/03/support-your-local-team-its-just-not.html
Ode to the Wee Red Book. Scottish football through the eyes of a fan. Sunday, March 10, 2013. Support your local team! It's just not that simple! The idea that someone should support their local team and, if they don't, are somehow a "disgrace" or a "glory hunter" is one which I find both perplexing and mildly irritating. Wouldn't it be nice if every kid grew up supporting the team down the road? Things just don't work like that though, do they? I've rarely heard of a Fife-based Hearts fan given a hard t...

No Train to Brechin. Football in Perth, Dundee and Angus. October 20, 2011. Today’s events leave Saints at somewhat of a crossroads. When a manager is sacked, a complete change in approach is usually desirable to help cut out the rot. With Docherty having followed McInnes south, the option of appointing the apprentice is removed. So, while names like Jim Jeffries, Jimmy Calderw...
