Life with the Allens: April 2015
http://evanandblake.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 25, 2015. Welcome to the World, E! Emerson Rose is here! She's just over two weeks old right now. We had a really wonderful experience and a relatively easy birth! Just starting the whole process. The hospital is only three years old. At 9:00 am on April 8th my doctor came in to check the progress. I was 5-6 cms which way exceeded their expectations. They were hoping for 3! They started me on. Our favorite nurse, Nirvana. She was the nurse when Emerson was actually born. I stayed pretty f...

Life with the Allens: August 2015
http://evanandblake.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 20, 2015. Colorado with a Baby. We successfully traveled with a four month old! I was literally terrified to fly with her. Terrified. I just knew that I would be the mom with a screaming baby for the entirety of the flight. I have to give Emmy credit. She was a champ. I swaddled her right when we got on the plane and the girl slept for the entire flight in my arms! The flight into Durango was a little different but it wasn't awful. But, she looks really cute in this big bed. On Blake's l...

Life with the Allens: Four Months
http://evanandblake.blogspot.com/2015/08/four-months.html
Sunday, August 16, 2015. Our sweet girl is four months old! She loves to watch TV (anything from Baby Einstein to the Fast and Furious), hold hands, Sophie the giraffe, and being in an environment where lots is going on. Starting to pay more attention. One of these days I am going to find a hand full of hair. I was trying to get some work done here, but was distracted by her cuteness. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow by us by Emails! Stories of me: Couscous Shrimp Salad
http://lifeinhtown.blogspot.com/2012/02/couscous-shrimp-salad.html
Here is a scrapbook of me. Enjoy! Or at least pretend to. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. This super easy recipe was inspired from a EatFit for Life. Dinner I bought. So yummy, light, and healthy. 1 Cook a box of instant couscous according to directions (takes literally 5 minutes). 2 Cook shrimp in a fry pan with some seasoning (I used Lawry's Seasoned Salt). 3 Dress lettuce in a lemon-y light dressing. 4 Pile together the lettuce, one portion of couscous, and one portion of shrimp. Stories of me: June 2011
http://lifeinhtown.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Here is a scrapbook of me. Enjoy! Or at least pretend to. Thursday, June 30, 2011. My love of my Kindle has grown substantially. From my. About it, to today, I have found joy that I can not explain. I know this sounds dramatic and over-the-top, but it's true. Is is just me? Well that is how it is on Amazon, except they go one step further. Since I am already logged in, they have my credit card on file and kindly give me the "Buy in 1-click! Feature. That is just wrong! Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Memorial D...

Life with the Allens: Three Months
http://evanandblake.blogspot.com/2015/07/three-months.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Emmy bear is three months old! She is just the cutest thing and full of smiles. I am not going to lie, I am pretty glad that the "fourth trimester" is over. The first three months are HARD. It's getting easier now, and we are falling into a rhythm. She is sleeping 11 hours straight at night! 8:00 pm - 7:00 am. Woo Hoo! She met her friend Claire, who is 10 weeks younger than her. They are going to be besties. In her KC gear. Nanny came down to visit. So sweet. Uncle Granty. She had...

Life with the Allens: Two Months
http://evanandblake.blogspot.com/2015/06/two-months.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. Here are a few pictures from the past month. We headed up to the lake for Memorial Day Weekend. Too bad it was cloudy and rainy most of the time. We had a Starbucks date with Amanda and Macy. Donna and Bob came to visit her. This little rocker was Blake's dad's chair growing up, then it was Blake's when he was little, and now it is Emerson's. I had a little slipcover made for it, and the pillow was given to me at my shower. So neat to have a family heirloom like this.

Stories of me: Little Bee
http://lifeinhtown.blogspot.com/2012/05/little-bee.html
Here is a scrapbook of me. Enjoy! Or at least pretend to. Friday, May 11, 2012. Side note: since I haven't posted in months (literally), I have a lot of catching up to do! When I think about it, I get overwhelmed so I just quit. Soooo, I am going to start with the easy stuff that does not require my camera (since I left it at a friend's house) and does not require a lot of thought. Here we go! My friend Elizabeth posted this book on her blog. I loved this story! However, I totally recommend this book.
