In the Fall of 2009, art educators enrolled in the Old Dominion University ARTE 406 Secondary Art Education course hosted. 8220;Saturday Morning Art Classes” with the theme of “Shout It Out – Art As Activism! My partner, Lauren Early, and I lesson was titled “Trash Talk” and focused on staying green by using “unwanted” items to make awesome works of art! The students were so creative and were able to craft works of art that amazed amazed not only visitors to the gallery, but themselves!
