The Old English Sheepdog is a 150 year old herding breed originating in England. Being an agile, intelligent dog they were used as a drover s dog to drive livestock to market. At that time in England, dogs who worked were exempt from tax. To identify the working dogs, the farmers started the practice of docking tails. Since then the term Bobtail is used. Now, they can be seen in the fields of England herding sheep. They were also used on the battlefields during the war. The OESOCC 2009 Specialty Winner.

OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOG RESCUE PROGRAM. The youngest dog (Perky Pup) we have placed was 11 weeks old and the oldest were 2 10 year old females. Of the dogs taken in for care, only 3 have been euthanized due to being unsuitable for adoption. Seeing her try to herd a flock of Swallows was quite an experience.
