My basic approach to counseling is one of offering hope; hope that things can be different; that situations can change for the better. Part of providing HOPE. In other words, seeing how God can bring good out of the various challenges they face in life. I am also solution-focused; I encourage women to make goals for change and help them take steps towards accomplishing those goals.

I have been asked many times to offer guidance to others who are wishing to start their own circles, but to be honest, as every circle is unique, this is extremely difficult. Also, as I started the Lodge project from scratch and had no previous experience whatsoever, I am reluctant to say ‘do it my way’, when in fact I would prefer others to learn for themselves, just as I have done.
