http://anorfolkfarmer.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 29 April 2010. It just gets worse. * * ing RPA. I have finally been brave enough to really look through the SP5(form for claiming subsudies) and my new set of maps and they are riddled with mistakes. We have had so many alterations of fields on farm over the last few years which have coincided with changes in the goverment agency that produce farm maps. The rural land register. Wednesday, 28 April 2010. The fens have never looked so good! There were signs everywhere of environmental stewardship...

Friday, 27 May 2011. We had the call we had been wanting all week this morning, "hello this the dog warden we have your dog.". We have just picked Dilly up from the kennels where lost dogs end up, she had been picked up about 2 miles away. She had however obviously been with someone all week as she was wearing a brand new collar and has been given a haircut, we think she may have run away from whoever had her and tried to get home. Wednesday, 25 May 2011. Any ideas on anything more we could be doing or e...

http://anorfolkfarmer.blogspot.com/2012/04/were-back.html
Monday, 23 April 2012. So ALOT has changed here at Church Farm since our last post in July, the biggest change is the new addition to our family. We had a beautiful baby girl in February, the pregnancy is mostly to blame for my absence, it was not a smooth ride but absolutely worth it, she is gorgeous! They offer hay silage, straw baling, livestock livery, foot trimming, A.I, crush hire and livestock fencing. 24 April 2012 at 12:33. Oh yay - pleased your back! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A Norfolk farmer: December 2010
http://anorfolkfarmer.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 6 December 2010. Ice Ice (and) babies! To state the obvious its cold, real cold. So winter feeding has begun and I am throwing straw and hay around far far earlier than I expected, unfortunatly we left plenty of grass to keep the cattle grazing for another month or so, but under snow its not much good! So sheep have arrived at Church Farm for the first time, we have 20 Wiltshire Horns, 2 Jacobs and 10 Suffolk crosses ewes. I can see another steep learning curve approaching but so far so good!

A Norfolk farmer: July 2011
http://anorfolkfarmer.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, 17 July 2011. More hay and rain! Since the last post Dad and I have been very busy boys! We cut 35ac of grass on Monday looking at a good five days of sunny dry weather. When I got to the field with Josh there was a bit of Ragwort pulling to do, to say the least! Which leaves two 3m gongs on the field. This is a quick way of rowing the field up but it leaves alot of rows still on the field. Dad has borrowed a second hand rake from BW Mack. A side discharge 3m one. Sunday, 10 July 2011. The hay cu...

Saturday, 30 April 2011. Its about time you were introduced to the other three members of our family. the dogs! We have three very different (not only in breed, but also in personality) dogs. This is Zac (aka Zacman) a 10 year old Scotty. Zac is Norfolk farmers dog, they were bachelors together, sometimes I think Zac wonders how he ended up living with 2 young bitches and a baby. He pretty much does as he pleases and spends his days pottering around the farm looking for food or peace and quiet! The cattl...

Tuesday, 1 May 2012. What makes the job even more special is sharing it with our little ones, Lee and Kirsty have a little boy, George, who is a very similar age to our Jake. They are both two this month and just love farming, they will sit on a tractor for hours with their Daddy's just taking it all in. They especially love it when they can get involved when they can get hands on. All in all farm life is really good at the moment and we are very much looking forward to the future! Unless otherwise state...
