Thursday, October 30, 2014. Mount Laguna Trail Marathon. So what do you have planned for this weekend? I am feeling really blessed that I get to run again this Sunday. I run around my house all the time but it is a real treat to get to run in the mountains for a girl with 4 kids who lives where I do. This is the medal I got two years ago and its my favorite one. This will be my last race for November and then I have the North Face half in December . I am once again excited to show up and try my best.

Consciousness of a runner. Things that make me go hmmm. The good the bad and the ugly. San Diego Trail Marathon. This past Saturday I returned to racing, completing the first ever San Diego Trail Marathon at the San Dieguito River Park hosted by Off Road Pursuits. The morning of the race I got up at 5 and had a smoothie (consisting of pear, banana, strawberries, blueberries, avocado, sweet potatoes, C20 Coconut Water and a scoop and SFH Chocolate Whey Protein. At this point I was climbing like a man poss...

http://meanderingechoes.blogspot.com/2016/11/2016-race-19-marine-corps-marathon.html
Thursday, November 03, 2016. 2016 Race #19 - Marine Corps Marathon. Thursday, November 03, 2016. Beth and I decided to drive up to DC to save some money and even though it's a 6 hour drive (without traffic), it was definitely the way to go. Round trip with gas, hotel parking and using Uber to get to dinner Saturday and Sunday night was less than $90 to split between the two of us and we had a lot more control over when we arrived and left which was certainly a bonus. Heading down towards mile 4. You can ...

Thursday, February 26, 2015. First blog post in forever! After a rather long hiatus, it’s good to be back writing again, and so I’ll pick up where this blog ended and this road. After a brief stop in Bryce Canyon. I headed down the road to spend some days in Zion. I had been to Zion once, though it was a brief trip, happening 2 days after Ironman St George. About 3 years earlier to the week! I even probably slept after the measly 2 hours of walking that day. On top of all these great benefits, you also w...

Volunteering at Ragnar Trail Atlanta ~ Meandering Echoes

Monday, April 25, 2016. Volunteering at Ragnar Trail Atlanta. Monday, April 25, 2016. I've been trying to figure out how to encapsulate all that I did as part of the SWAT (sweaty, wet and tired) team for the Ragnar Trail Atlanta. I found out about this volunteer option in talking with the Ragnar staff at last year's Angel Fire race. I was assigned the Red loop for the race which is 6.8 miles and crosses two major granite slabs. Welcome to the Red loop! Of work ahead of me. Since there were so many si...
