Chris dropped me off at the shopping centre to get butter, as we had forgotten to get some the day before. He went and got fuel etc while I waited for him I got coffee from the Cape Cafe. The street view of the shopping centre. I remembered to take photos this time! We then had to cross the highway. A few tourists at Archer River.

Interesting night and not much sleep, I got my act together and we were on the road again just as we got onto the main road, we saw a snake. We drove through Hydeaway Bay and had a look at Dingo Beach. Jonny checking his oil. Then we were on our way to Airlie Beach this is when we realised we were in for some rain. We had to fill up at Cannonvale. Then we went and looked at Whitsundays Mountain. It is freezing too.

Cape York June 2011. Cape York Trip June 2011. Day 28: Emu Park. Day 30: 1770 →. We said goodbye to Emu Park today, I really liked it there and will have to go back again. Our next destination was Turkey Beach we passed through Rockhampton on our way. We got ushered to the side of the road to let an oversized load pass. At the first Gladstone turn off, Jonny got fuel. Then we got to Turkey Beach. They use tractors to tow boats here. Definitely not worth the walk! It’s a tough life. Day 28: Emu Park.

Cape York June 2011. Cape York Trip June 2011. For the last day of our trip, there was nothing better then not having to pack up a tent. I think I’ve done enough camping to last me at least the rest of the year! I got up and Chris cooked whatever meat we had left for breakfast after feeling full and fat, we watched TV until Jonny got up at 11.30am and then we went for a drive around town. Our first stop was Joseph Banks Conservation Park. So, they finally came down. We saw these little 3 wheeler’s go past.
