Thought of the Day

Thought of the Day. Wednesday, April 01, 2009. The US. Postal Service's zip code finder. Has always sort of boggled my mind. While it's a useful tool when you need to find someone's zip code, check it out and take note of the last field of information that it asks for. That's right- the zip code finder. Posted by Chris @ 8:11 AM. Wednesday, May 03, 2006. When an extra 40 cents is going to get you the best, you don't pass that up. That's why I stick to extremes when I'm doing my purchasing. Thought of the Day: 160 Pound Tumor

http://offseason-chris.blogspot.com/2006/04/160-pound-tumor.html

Thought of the Day. Monday, April 24, 2006. Last night while flipping through the channels on my TV, I came across a program about a woman with a 160 pound tumor. To me, the concept of a 160 pound tumor seems pretty ridiculous. Didn’t this woman see this problem coming well ahead of time? Posted by Chris @ 12:19 PM. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. Thought of the Day: Quality Control

http://offseason-chris.blogspot.com/2006/05/quality-control.html

Thought of the Day. Wednesday, May 03, 2006. On the same theory, I don't think that I've ever purchased regular strength drain cleaner. If you're trying to clear a clog from your drain (and assuming that you legitimately want to fix the problem), doesn't it make much more sense to buy the professional strength? When an extra 40 cents is going to get you the best, you don't pass that up. That's why I stick to extremes when I'm doing my purchasing. Posted by Chris @ 8:22 AM. I somewhat enjoy basketball.

Quixotic Thoughts: October 2006

http://kickbuttproductions.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html

The online blog of Peter Brooks.writer, speaker, and founder of Kick Butt Productions. October 10, 2006. In short, there has been some small movements from certain groups to reclaim words that once were used against them or contained negative connotations when used. I'm told that GLBTQ groups have reclaimed the words 'gay' and 'queer' in to their vernacular. This process utterly fascinates me. And then it started me thinking.is the reclamation process applicable to more than just words? I think even bein...

Quixotic Thoughts: June 2006

http://kickbuttproductions.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html

The online blog of Peter Brooks.writer, speaker, and founder of Kick Butt Productions. June 12, 2006. Angels Part 3: Bronk. One thing I will never tire of, no matter where I am, or where Kick Butt Productions has gone, or what I've accomplished is when someone asks me about my writing. Lately, since I've been doing more of it, it's been a tad bit more rewarding. But nonetheless, I always get a jolt of inspiration and good tiding when someone asks me. As he lauded on and on at the store about this game an...

The online blog of Peter Brooks.writer, speaker, and founder of Kick Butt Productions. February 26, 2006. I Love This Stuff! This post will be some random musings as I've just returned from the Wisconsin United Residence Hall Association (WURHA) Conference at Marquette University. I do need to say first, Marquette's student leaders did a great job hosting this conference. It was comfortable and quick, elegant and organized. Now, onto some thoughts:. Keep up the good work! I got a chance to meet the real ...

Thanks mom for inspiring and supporting me to dream, and thanks mom showing me that to be your own person is a good thing. Hope your birthday is fantastic! Quixotic Thoughts: August 2006

http://kickbuttproductions.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html

The online blog of Peter Brooks.writer, speaker, and founder of Kick Butt Productions. August 16, 2006. What does it take to put a Big Mac together? How many different people must a Big Mac be exchanged with before it reaches the customer? How many different processes and elements are added into getting a Big Mac? Of course, for anyone of any generation, what happens when we get that "spider sense" feeling that something is wrong.that our Big Mac is taking a little too long to get to us? As I see it our ...

The online blog of Peter Brooks.writer, speaker, and founder of Kick Butt Productions. January 30, 2006. Talking to the Departed. Loss is hard for all of us. Having someone be a big part of your life then one day not there often leaves us feeling empty and sad. Again, I applaud Toby for not only using his imagination to bring his friend close to our hearts as an audience, but also as an ongoing reminder to himself of someone who was truly special. What would they say? Posted by Peter Brooks at 12:26 AM.

http://kickbuttproductions.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html

The online blog of Peter Brooks.writer, speaker, and founder of Kick Butt Productions. September 20, 2006. What keeps you going? It's a strange question I realize since many would respond with something about their work or a loved one or some aspect of their spirituality. This question is more focused on what maxims work for you or have worked for you in your life? All I've had I gave; all I saved I lost forever.". 180 degrees from sick is still sick.". 1/3 Tolkien, 1/3 Zepplin, 1/3 Bullshit.". The entir...

And on a final related note, I'm honored and fortunate enough to have another wedding on plate next year as my friend Jim has recently asked me to be in his wedding. He too is getting married to a great lady and I look forward to the festivities. Posted by Peter Brooks at 1:52 AM. July 12, 2006. Dancing is like having a conversation with someone.hey why don't you come overe here, no wait I'll follow, how's the weather today? You need to pay attention to what she's saying when you dance.". Quixotic Thoughts: March 2006

http://kickbuttproductions.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html

The online blog of Peter Brooks.writer, speaker, and founder of Kick Butt Productions. March 27, 2006. My friend Ryan, Dave and I were watching Crocodile Dundee 2 this weekend. Side Note: I realize that most sequels don't measure up to the original. But this one is pretty fantastic since it moves enough away from the "stranger in a strange land" concept, and puts a solid character, the cool calm Mick Dundee, into a new situation.avoiding some weak looking drug lords.). The inspiration for this article th...
