I am going to Honduras from May to August 2009 to work in a medical clinic there. I will be living with a host family who will hopefully show me all there is to see in their country and experience a whole new culture. I will be living in the small village of El Guante just outside of the capital city of Tegucigalpa and working with the local doctors to promote health care and nutrition. The people are so nice to me and patient that I don´t speak a lot of Spanish. No one there speaks any English so it´s been interesting. Monday, July 13, 2009. Hey all. The travel ban and curfew have been lifted! Wow, its flown. I sent out postcards last week. I wrote them on the 18th of June but wasnt allowed to leave to mail them so sorry for that. Hopefully they will get home before I do.
