Michael Oglesby CBE, DL, LLD, DSc. Michael Oglesby was born in 1939 in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire and, after receiving a degree in building at Aston University, spent his early working years in the construction industry before moving to Manchester in 1970. He has been married for approximately 50 years to his wife Jean and they live in Bowdon. They have two children, Chris and Kate, both of whom work in the family business, and five grandchildren.
