Cross-country Mountain Biking and Cyclo-cross. Monday, 26 March 2012. National XC MTB Series - Round 1 - Sherwood Pines - 25.03.12. I was very nervous for the race and this was shown as from about an hour before my race, to the start, I felt sick the whole time! I had to sit down for 5 minutes on a couple of occasional to calm down and to make sure I didn't regurgitate vital food for energy! Me in 2nd from the start! So, overall, it was a good result, great course and a great day! Thanks to my dad for ta...

Cross-country Mountain Biking and Cyclo-cross. Monday, 13 December 2010. Only Fun was to be had at Bradford :I. We arrived at the Travel-Lodge when it was dark, but still had a lot of time on our hands, first i got the usual funny looks, that you get when you bring a Wheelbag, a Turbo Trainer and a Cross Bike through recepetion :D. Once i had settled in i took the time to do a pre-race-day turbo session to try and put the legs in a good way for racing the next day. Hotel Turbo Trainer Setup. First I pack...

Thomas Butler: Hog Hill Regional Cyclo-cross Championships 5th December 2010
http://tombutlerandcycling.blogspot.com/2010/12/hog-hill-regional-cyclo-cross.html
Cross-country Mountain Biking and Cyclo-cross. Friday, 10 December 2010. Hog Hill Regional Cyclo-cross Championships 5th December 2010. I think the consistency of my pace allowed me to climb up the field a bit more and throughout the race i thought i was making progress. By half way through the race, the course was getting quite slippery and two fast descents were getting very technically demanding, i had to fight hard to keep the speed and stay on the bike! Position, but was now absolutely knackered!

Thomas Butler: Long time, No blog......
http://tombutlerandcycling.blogspot.com/2011/11/long-time-no-blog.html
Cross-country Mountain Biking and Cyclo-cross. Friday, 18 November 2011. Long time, No blog. I have recently been 'neglecting' my blog, this is because of being rather busy pedaling, and because it's the cross season. This season being one that I don't tremendously wait all year for, and don't really 'excel' in. Finally, I would just like to say, thank-you to everyone who is viewing my blog now, or has done in the past and made me very happy to have my page views at 2600! Sponsor of Club / Local Bike Shop.

Thomas Butler: British Mountain Bike Series Round 3 - Wasing Park (12.06.11)
http://tombutlerandcycling.blogspot.com/2011/06/british-mountain-bike-series-round-3.html
Cross-country Mountain Biking and Cyclo-cross. Thursday, 23 June 2011. British Mountain Bike Series Round 3 - Wasing Park (12.06.11). I arrived at the race and had a very good warm-up after not having alot of time to spare once I had arrived, to do a lap. However I had already raced there earlier in the season, so I wasn't that worried. This is an old picture at the same venue and with much better weather! We still had one lap to go! I started the last lap feeling like a complete muppet and was very angr...
