The Oxford Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. Squares for the Dressing Gown. Here’s an easy way to make a 12cm garter stitch square no matter what yarn, needles or tension you use. Using your chosen yarn (the Association asks for no thicker than DK so that dressing gown is not too heavy) and needles. Cast on 2 sts. Row 1: knit front and back into both sts = 4sts. Row 2: Knit 1, knit front and back into next st, knit to end. Repeat row 2 until the two sides (not the diagonal) both measure 12cm.

Worcestershire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. Annual membership is 25 and runs February to January. Workshops with a visiting tutor are charged at 15 per day. Are always most welcome and may attend one DIY meeting free of charge and a second at a cost of 4 before making a committment to join the Guild. A dozen members enjoyed a relaxing time exchanging textile news, working on small projects and sharing a buffet lunch. An exciting exhibition of textiles added wonderful interest to our day. Angelas adventures are well known to our guild and she has so many beautiful textiles collected from many different countries.
