The Swedish Fish: Hobbit Beach
http://marci-rigby.blogspot.com/2015/08/hobbit-beach.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. It was Ike's first trip to the ocean and he was obviously impressed. It was also the first time in a couple of years that we actually remembered to bring our sand toys. There is nothing like a lovely day on the Oregon coast. And on the way home Rosy barfed. She said she was sorry. As a parent there are so many teaching moments. Yesterday at dinner Rocky said, "Abbey said that she saw a guy with the flag of slavery on his car so she gave him a finger. What does that mean?

Denece and Denephews: March 2012
http://deneceanddenephews.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
It is what it is. Monday, March 5, 2012. My day in a nut shell . . . So the day started out with grand plans of tidiness and efficiency. But about 10 minutes into the day, I said to heck with it all. Ok. So it was really only about 3.4 minutes into the day! To apply for a learners permit. That's always a fun place to spend an hour or two. I could not deal with the people that those poor workers have to deal with! Kiddo #7 decided to make a new kind of navajo. We learned that if kiddo #2 wants to be on th...

The Swedish Fish: There is Such a Thing as a Free Lunch
http://marci-rigby.blogspot.com/2015/08/there-is-such-thing-as-free-lunch.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. There is Such a Thing as a Free Lunch. It was an intense battle but in the end everyone was soaked and happy. Now that I see the photo we probably didn't have much more room than the folks at the pool. I was still happy with the choice because every time a kid splashed my face it was at least a kid I know. Afterward we set up the restaurant again so that Rocky could work on her skills as a waitress. Yumm bowls are apparently now available at Chef Coozine. The Davis Family Digest.

The Swedish Fish: April 2015
http://marci-rigby.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2015. It was a testament to how much Brandon loves his little girls when he paid $11 for a dish of macaroni and cheese. Even he can't say no to Daisy's big eyes. In case you wondered, it was worth every cent. We walked all over to really get a feel for the different neighborhoods. When we got to the Space Needle Rosy was having none of it. Rocky and Daisy set themselves up okay for their first album cover but Rosy sort of blew it with that crazy hair. I finally got to experience my dr...

The Swedish Fish: March 2015
http://marci-rigby.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 15, 2015. The Return of the Nubbies. It was wacky hair day at school so we pulled out an oldie but a goodie. I forgot how much I loved putting nubbies on my girls. I think it is going to be moved from the "wacky hair" category into the little known "my mom actually did something to my hair" category. If we add the nubbies then that category will actually exist. What else would we be doing on a Thursday afternoon? Bonus Picture: Katie's Birthday. Fortunes, Forecasts, Lucky Charms. They have ...

The Swedish Fish: November 2014
http://marci-rigby.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 15, 2014. They like to play cards. I don't really get the mechanics of the game but it keeps them relatively quiet for a few minutes. Maybe we will teach them how to eat in public before we try it again. Who would use a whole couch when you can scrunch up together in the corner. Movie Night might be my favorite moment of the whole week. A Box of Otter Pops. The Halloween festivities included all of the regular traditions. We carved pumpkins and cooked dinner in one. We did our Trick-or...

Denece and Denephews: June 2012
http://deneceanddenephews.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
It is what it is. Friday, June 15, 2012. We finally got a new washer and dryer! Our old dryer would take about 2 hours to dry a small load of towels. And they weren't what I'd call dry. More like dampish. And we couldn't dry our whites in it or they'd come out with rust spots. We got these babies a week ago. I finally used them for the first time today. The kids have been so excited and willing to do laundry. It seems like everyone is pregnant right now! Thursday, June 7, 2012. We also copied my sister-i...

Denece and Denephews: January 2012
http://deneceanddenephews.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
It is what it is. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Long time no post. We celebrated New Years with LOTS of noise. Most of the kids got nerf guns for Christmas and on New Years we had an all out nerf. War most of the night. It was not safe to walk through the room. There was way to much food, way to much noise, way to many nerf. Darts flying through the air and way to much fun! I was released from Primary! I loved working with the kids, but it was time. I am now in the Young Women's. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
