Putting Things Together: Assemblages by Abby Wasserman," an exhibit. At O'Hanlon Center for the Arts Loft Gallery Dec. 2-30, 2008, featured explorations in three dimensions with found and recycled elements incorporating painting, photographs, and in one case, a dragonfly. The "Flagir Galleria" (1992-2006) and the "Flor Alba Giraldo Galleria" (2006 to present) display an ever changing collection of works. In the autumn, flowers, landscapes and portraits were displayed. Abby Wasserman leads three intimate writing groups in Mill Valley, California. Groups meet from September through May. Abby also offers one or two intensive writing retreats a year. The freewriting group meets every Thursday (with some seasonal breaks) from 10 am to noon. A second group meets to present and critique work that is brought in each week. Abby Wasserman grew up in the Bay Area loving the arts. In her youth she played the piano, painted, acted, danced and wrote. She attended San Francisco State and New York University, where she studied theater education. In the late 1970s to early 1980s Abby wrote freelance on visual and performing arts and reviewed galleries and museums for newspapers in the Washington D.C. area.
