Friday, January 31, 2014. Making.something. Every once in a great while I let them "make things" which just means make a mess, then throw it all away. Caroline has always had a hard time seeing Maggie go to one birthday party after another. Her turn finally came. And she LOVED it! Rainbow Loom. I was hoping it would be something they'd get lost in (giving me a break). Instead it was a time-suck in that they needed help every 30 seconds. But it did produce some cute bracelets that Maggie was very proud of:.

Wednesday, July 31, 2013. We had a big, long trip to Utah in early July and a big trip to Sedona, Arizona a week or so after that so they will have to be their own posts. Here's the rest of the month. There is a neighborhood in Longmont that has a big park in the middle of it that turns into Food Truck Monday all summer long. Live music, picnic blanket and just about any food truck choice you can imagine. Good stuff. A trip to Denver for the Aquarium:. Despicable Me 2. The kids really loved this one!

Tuesday, June 10, 2014. This year we had the unexpected surprise of seeing a bunch of our Beck relatives at Grandma and Grandpa's grave. We are accustomed to just seeing my dad's side of the family on Memorial Day. But it was wonderful to see my mom's family too! Aunt Linda asked us to share some memories of Grandma and Grandpa Beck. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Kauai - Gaylords, Napali Coast, Larry Rivera, Piopu, Waimea Canyon. We enjoyed an amazing dinner (with a train ride included) at Gaylords, a restored plantation. The next day we drove to the North shore and hiked a trail on the NaPali coast. It was a drizzly day which made for a nice cool hike, but terrible crazy mud that caked our shoes and splattered our legs. We felt a little unsure about this sign. It has tick marks for the number of deaths at the beach we were hiking to.

Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Road Trip to Canada - The Frame Factory. Our relatives in Magrath own a frame factory there and wanted to give us a tour. It was so interesting! I never would have thought frame making could be so interesting! For such a small factory, they sure do reach far and wide with their sales! They specialize in round and oval frames. They also sell frames with domed glass. This is a picture of my grandmother's brother, Rondo. The kids loved the paper shredder! Jamie was our tour guide.
