Oops. So, in lieu of a proper invite, I decided to whip up a few invites in my favourite style, 1950s hotel stationery. I know. It wasn't a dark and stormy night. It should have been, but there's the weather for you. For every mad scientist who's had a convenient thunderstorm just on the night his Great Work is complete and lying on the slab, there have been dozens who've sat around aimlessly under the peaceful stars while Igor clocks up the overtime. So starts the excellent work of fiction by the late Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Good Omens.

All around Britain people are constantly sneaking off with their families in search of the hidden, the illicit, and the unknown. The art of "Geocaching" is a relatively new hobby, but it's one that's taken the country by storm. The “Geocache” website is a prototype model aimed at gathering a community of Geocachers from all over Britain. Featuring a user forum, social hangout, and a location spotter, it’s designed to be a tool used by everyone to find their local cache.

When I was a little girl I took up calligraphy lessons with my grandfather, a man who, as a draftsman in his career, had the most beautiful copperplate writing I’ve ever come across. It’s not a skill I’ve lost, but I am fascinated with modern interpretations of a dying art.
