AGU in America 2006: Annapolis
http://agu2006.blogspot.com/2006/08/annapolis.html
AGU in America 2006. Saturday, August 12, 2006. On Saturday, we had our field trip to Annapolis, the capital of Maryland (and former capital of the U.S., for nine months! Afterwards, we walked down Cornhill Street to the dock, where we all bought tickets for the Severn River cruise at 12:30. After buying the tickets, we had time to grab something to eat. I got a very nice crabcake sandwich at a deli on Main Street. Not cheap, but tasty! Posted by Nina Liakos at 10:21 PM. I want to live there some day.

AGU in America 2006: Mount Vernon
http://agu2006.blogspot.com/2006/08/mount-vernon.html
AGU in America 2006. Sunday, August 13, 2006. Today, Sunday, was our field trip to Mount Vernon. It was another spectacular day, weather-wise: sunny and in the mid 80s with low humidity. :-) The day almost got off to a bad start because we nearly missed the boat (my fault! I misread the Dash About shuttle bus schedule), but to make a long story short, we didn't. The boat ride down the Potomac to Mount Vernon was very pretty, although the boat wasn't as nice as the one we took yesterday in Annapolis.

AGU in America 2006: Farewell Ceremony
http://agu2006.blogspot.com/2006/08/farewell-ceremony.html
AGU in America 2006. Thursday, August 17, 2006. On Tuesday, the last day of the program, many of the students wrote very touching posts, saying how much they had learned and enjoyed themselves during the past two weeks. It made me very happy to read them, and sad too, of course, to think that the program was coming to an end. In Kevin's class, they learned a song which he had written and set to the music of a popular Japanese song (What is the name of the song? The song goes,. We came from Tokyo;. So see...

http://agu2006.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
AGU in America 2006. Thursday, May 25, 2006. Yesterday I met with Laura, Ji Won, and Tim, all together for the first time. We went over the schedule draft and they had lots of good ideas. We are all looking forward to working on the program together. While I was there, I took some pictures of the decorated turtles which appeared all around campus this spring to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the university's charter. Here are a few of them:. Perhaps you are wondering, "Why turtles? Tim Daniel, Ment...
